WIKA Partners with UNDIP to Develop Leadership Based on Local Wisdom
PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA), through Wikasatrian, has entered into a strategic cooperation with the Faculty of Psychology at Diponegoro University (UNDIP) to develop Indonesian human resources through a leadership approach based on Nusantara local wisdom. The collaboration is underpinned by a shared commitment to developing education, research and community service in line with the needs of industry and academia.
The cooperation arose from a series of visits and discussions between Wikasatrian and UNDIP’s Faculty of Psychology. Through these meetings, both parties found a common vision in developing Eastern (Indigenous) Psychology and Culture, Nusantara Leadership, and the concept of Kepamongan as an authentically Indonesian learning model introduced by Ki Hadjar Dewantara more than a century ago.
Through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement, WIKA and UNDIP’s Faculty of Psychology committed to strengthening the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education — education, research and community service — whilst developing the Nusantara Leadership and Kepamongan programmes through an agreed division of roles and responsibilities.
The cooperation is realised through the Asta Mandala concept, which encompasses eight strategic areas. These include teaching activities, education and training, research, community service, development of the Nusantara Leadership Training Programme (DIPOSATRIAN), development of Nusantara Kepamongan competencies towards BNSP certification, the proposed establishment of a Competency Test Centre (TUK), and other forms of cooperation agreed by both parties.
WIKA’s Corporate Secretary, Ngatemin, said the collaboration is a strategic step towards strengthening Indonesian leadership development rooted in the noble values of the Nusantara.
“The cooperation between WIKA, through Wikasatrian, and UNDIP’s Faculty of Psychology is a form of synergy between industry and academia in developing Indonesian leadership grounded in local wisdom,” he said in a written statement on Monday (20 July 2026).
“We hope this collaboration will not only produce various training and development programmes, but also joint research, the development of Nusantara Leadership and Nusantara Kepamongan modules, student internship programmes, practitioner-led teaching, and competency certification that can deliver lasting benefits for both the education sector and industry,” Ngatemin added.
In the near term, both parties will prioritise the implementation of the Satria Programme for lecturers at UNDIP’s Faculty of Psychology. The programme aims to provide direct experience of Wikasatrian’s learning methods through a Training of Trainers (ToT) scheme, before it is subsequently run independently by the Faculty of Psychology.
In addition, the Faculty of Psychology will recommend Wikasatrian programmes to UNDIP’s Psychological Services network (JAPSI).
“Through this collaboration, WIKA and UNDIP’s Faculty of Psychology are strengthening the synergy between industry and academia through education, research and leadership development based on local wisdom. Wikasatrian will develop the concepts of Nusantara Leadership and Nusantara Kepamongan with academic validation, as an effort to support the development of Indonesian human resources,” he concluded.
