PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA), through its Wikasatrian unit, has entered a strategic partnership with the Faculty of Psychology at Diponegoro University (UNDIP) to develop Indonesian human resources through a leadership approach based on Nusantara’s local wisdom. The collaboration is founded on a shared spirit of advancing education, research, and community service aligned with the needs of both industry and academia. The partnership originated from a series of visits and discussions between Wikasatrian and UNDIP’s Faculty of Psychology. During these meetings, both parties discovered a common vision in developing Eastern (Indigenous) Psychology and Culture, Nusantara Leadership, and the concept of Kepamongan as an authentic Indonesian learning model introduced by Ki Hadjar Dewantara over a century ago. Through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement, WIKA and UNDIP’s Faculty of Psychology committed to enhancing the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education—encompassing education, research, and community service—while developing the Nusantara Leadership and Kepamongan programme through mutually agreed roles and responsibilities. The collaboration is realised through the Asta Mandala concept, which covers eight strategic scopes. These include teaching activities, education and training, research, community service, development of the Nusantara Leadership Coaching Programme (DIPOSATRIAN), development of Nusantara Kepamongan competencies towards BNSP certification, proposal of a Competency Test Centre (TUK), and the development of other mutually agreed forms of cooperation. WIKA Corporate Secretary Ngatemin stated that this collaboration is a strategic step in strengthening Indonesian leadership development rooted in the noble values of the archipelago. He noted that the partnership between WIKA, through Wikasatrian, and UNDIP’s Faculty of Psychology represents a synergy between industry and academia in cultivating Indonesian leadership grounded in local wisdom. Ngatemin expressed hope that the collaboration would not only produce various training and development programmes but also joint research, the development of Nusantara Leadership and Kepamongan modules, student internship programmes, practitioner teaching, and competency certification that provide sustainable benefits for both education and industry. In the near term, both parties will prioritise the implementation of the Satria Programme for UNDIP Faculty of Psychology lecturers. This programme aims to provide direct experience of Wikasatrian’s learning methods through a Training of Trainers (ToT) scheme, before being independently run by the Faculty of Psychology. Additionally, UNDIP’s Faculty of Psychology will recommend the Wikasatrian programme to the university’s Jasa Psikologi (JAPSI) network. Through this collaboration, WIKA and UNDIP’s Faculty of Psychology strengthen the synergy between industry and academia through the development of education, research, and leadership based on local wisdom. Wikasatrian will develop the Nusantara Leadership and Kepamongan concepts, validated academically, as an effort to support Indonesian human resource development.
