WIKA Holds Joint Mudik Programme and Ramadan Bazaar
Jakarta — PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) has once again demonstrated its commitment to delivering benefits to the community through the implementation of the BUMN Joint Mudik Programme and a Ramadan Bazaar, both of which form part of the company’s Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programme. These initiatives align with this year’s mudik spirit, “Safe Mudik, Sharing Hope”, and represent a tangible contribution by the company in supporting public convenience during Hari Raya celebrations whilst promoting economic growth among micro, small and medium-sized enterprise (MSME) operators. The programme is also part of the Free BUMN Mudik 2026 initiative, coordinated by Danantara and BP BUMN.
For this year’s BUMN Joint Mudik Programme, WIKA Group has facilitated 408 participants, comprising general members of the public and frontline company employees. Participants were transported from departure points at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) area and WIKA’s head office to several destinations across Java.
To ensure a smooth journey for travellers, WIKA has provided 10 bus fleets servicing routes to Malang, Purworejo, Solo, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya. The programme aims to assist workers and residents in the company’s operational areas, particularly those with lower to middle incomes, to return home safely, comfortably and affordably when celebrating Hari Raya with family in their hometowns.
Beyond the mudik programme, WIKA has also organised a Ramadan Bazaar featuring 39 MSME partner tenant businesses within the WIKA Group ecosystem, operating in the food and beverage, clothing, and crafts sectors. All tenants are MSMEs under WIKA Group’s mentorship, including participation from disability foundations, demonstrating the company’s commitment to promoting inclusivity and economic empowerment of the community.
The Ramadan Bazaar constitutes part of the company’s ongoing contribution to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, by creating business opportunities and enhancing the capacity and competitiveness of partner MSMEs to enable sustainable development.
Agung Budi Waskito, WIKA’s President Director, stated that the company’s participation in the BUMN Joint Mudik Programme and organisation of the Ramadan Bazaar represents a corporate commitment to delivering broader social benefits to the community.
“Through the BUMN Joint Mudik Programme and Ramadan Bazaar, WIKA hopes to provide convenience for the community to celebrate Hari Raya with family in their hometowns whilst simultaneously promoting economic growth among our partner MSMEs. WIKA will continue to endeavour to introduce TJSL programmes that deliver positive impacts for the community and support inclusive and sustainable economic development,” said Agung BW.
Through these various social programmes, WIKA hopes to continue delivering tangible benefits to the community whilst strengthening the company’s role in supporting inclusive and sustainable economic development in Indonesia.
