PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) continues to advance the construction of the Patimban Access Toll Road Package 4. To date, construction progress has reached 77.75%. This project is part of the national strategic infrastructure development designed to support smooth logistics distribution as well as export and import activities through the Patimban Port.

The development of the Patimban Access Toll Road aligns with the national development direction of Asta Cita, specifically through infrastructure expansion and the creation of high-quality employment opportunities for communities surrounding the project area.

The project’s scope of work includes bridges, interchanges, toll gates, and embankments. Embankment work is largely complete, while the project has now entered the road pavement stage.

During periods of high work intensity, the project involves more than 400 workers, some of whom are local labourers from West Java. In its execution, WIKA applies ‘Safety First’ principles as part of its efforts to maintain occupational safety throughout the construction process.

WIKA’s Corporate Secretary, Ngatemin, stated that WIKA continues to manage the execution of work to ensure it proceeds according to the established stages.

“WIKA continues to ensure that the construction of the Patimban Access Toll Road Package 4 proceeds with attention to quality and safety in every stage of work. We hope this infrastructure can provide benefits for connectivity and the smoothness of logistics activities in the Patimban area,” said Ngatemin.

Regarding construction methods, at several bridge work locations near residential areas, WIKA is utilising the Hydraulic Static Pile Driver (HSPD) method for pile driving, ensuring that the construction process does not cause vibrations that impact the surrounding environment.

Once completed, the Patimban Access Toll Road is expected to streamline logistics flows and export-import activities through the Patimban Port by directly connecting the Cipali Toll Road with the Patimban Port.
