WIKA Accelerates Jakarta-Cikampek II South Toll Road, Progress Reaches 85.20%
PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) is accelerating the completion of the Jakarta-Cikampek II South Toll Road Package 2A as part of the company’s commitment to supporting national connectivity development. To date, construction progress on the project has reached 85.20%, with a target completion for all cleared land areas by the first quarter of 2027. The Jakarta-Cikampek II South Toll Road Package 2A is one of the strategic infrastructure projects that will strengthen connectivity between the Greater Jakarta area and West Java. The presence of this toll road section will serve as an alternative route, reducing dependence on the existing Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, thereby helping to alleviate congestion and improve the smooth mobility of people and logistics distribution, especially during peak hours and holiday seasons. During its construction, the project has absorbed approximately 3,900 workers, thus not only supporting the acceleration of infrastructure development but also contributing to job creation and strengthening the economy around the project area. To enhance the effectiveness of construction execution, WIKA is implementing various digital technologies, including Building Information Modeling (BIM) as a medium for planning, visualisation, coordination, and work control. Additionally, the project utilises drone technology through photogrammetry and LiDAR methods to obtain field condition data quickly and accurately. The integration of these technologies supports progress monitoring, minimises the potential for rework, and ensures all work proceeds according to design, technical specifications, and established quality standards. In line with the company’s operational transformation, the project also implements Lean Construction principles to increase productivity and work execution efficiency through integrated planning, more effective process control, and resource optimisation. This approach helps minimise waste, reduce the potential for rework, and drive project completion with the right quality, on time, and on budget. Furthermore, WIKA prioritises the application of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles in every stage of project development. This is realised through the implementation of occupational health and safety (K3) aspects, responsible environmental management, and the creation of social value through the absorption of local labour and the construction of infrastructure that provides sustainable benefits for the community. WIKA Corporate Secretary Ngatemin stated that the construction of the Jakarta-Cikampek II South Toll Road Package 2A is part of the company’s commitment to delivering infrastructure that provides long-term benefits for the community. ‘WIKA remains committed to completing national strategic projects by prioritising construction quality, technological innovation, the application of Lean Construction, and the implementation of ESG principles and high occupational safety standards. We are optimistic that the completion of the Jakarta-Cikampek II South Toll Road Package 2A will add value to regional connectivity, improve travel time efficiency, and support economic growth in the Greater Jakarta and West Java areas,’ Ngatemin said in an official statement on Wednesday (5/8/2026).
