Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) continues to accelerate the completion of the Cilacap People’s School construction as part of its support for the government’s programme to expand equitable and quality education access for the public.

As of now, the progress of the Cilacap People’s School construction has reached nearly 32%. WIKA targets the completion of this project on 20 June 2026, while prioritising work quality and on-site safety.

To meet the completion target, WIKA is implementing various acceleration measures, including a 24-hour work system with two shifts. Resource support is also being strengthened, with the current workforce numbering 1,170 people. Additionally, the main materials have been delivered almost 100% to ensure smooth project execution.

Corporate Secretary of PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk, Ngatemin, stated that the acceleration of the Cilacap People’s School construction is being carried out in a measured manner through workforce optimisation, strengthened material supply, and intensive on-site coordination.

“WIKA continues to accelerate to ensure the Cilacap People’s School can be completed on target by 20 June, with the best quality and optimal results. Currently, work is being carried out 24 hours with two shifts, supported by 1,170 workers and the availability of materials that have almost entirely been delivered. It is hoped that this People’s School can soon be utilised by the people of Cilacap and its surroundings as a good learning facility, especially for the underprivileged, in line with the President’s directive to provide education access that can create superior Indonesian human resources,” said Ngatemin.

In its implementation, WIKA, together with WIKA Gedung and related work partners, continues to strengthen on-site coordination to ensure the work runs optimally and on target. Despite facing various challenges, from social aspects to material procurement such as concrete, WIKA continues to accelerate so that all work stages can be completed as planned.

With the various acceleration efforts undertaken, WIKA is optimistic that the Cilacap People’s School construction can be completed on target and provide tangible benefits to the community, particularly in supporting equitable education access and strengthening the quality of Indonesian human resources.
