Wijaya Karya (WIKA) Sells Its Entire Stake in the Hotel Indonesia Group
KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA) will divest all its ownership in the shares of PT Hotel Indonesia Group (HIG) through its subsidiary, PT Wijaya Karya Realty (WR).
Corporate Secretary of PT Wijaya Karya Tbk, Ngatemin alias Emin, said that Wijaya Karya Realty is the non-controlling shareholder of HIG with 49%, while WIKA holds 95.10% of Wijaya Karya Realty.
‘Wijaya Karya Realty will sell all its shareholding in HIG to PT Hotel Indonesia Natour (HIN) amounting to 1,470 shares, valued at Rp 7.8 billion,’ he said in a prospectus dated 28 February 2026.
WIKA emphasised that this step is part of a series of related and continuous transactions, undertaken to accelerate the growth of the tourism and hospitality industry in Indonesia.
This step aligns with the policy of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) which appointed HIN as the executor of integration and enhancement of state-owned hotel business, as stated in Minister of BUMN letter Number S496/MBU/10/2024 dated 11 October 2024.
Shareholding analysis shows an affiliated relationship between WR and HIN, because the Government of the Republic of Indonesia as a WIKA shareholder also has shares in HIN.
With this strategic move, WIKA hopes to reaffirm its role in the development of the tourism sector while strengthening the company’s financial performance.
