Wife Remembers Ride-Hailing Driver Murdered by Robber: Loving Family Man, Never Angry
An online motorcycle taxi (ojol) driver named Agus Tedjo Prabowo (40) was murdered and his motorcycle stolen in Kosambi, Tangerang, Banten. His wife, Popi, remembered Agus Tedjo as a man who deeply loved his family.
“My husband was loving towards his wife and children, gentle, never angry,” said Popi on Friday (17/7).
She said her husband was also frequently kind to strangers. Popi feels an immense loss at his death.
“He was attentive and caring towards family, friends, and even people he didn’t know,” she said.
She said that on the day of the incident, her husband had been forced to sleep at an ojol base camp in the Kosambi area because he was exhausted and needed to rest before heading home. Popi received news of her husband’s death from one of his fellow ojol drivers.
“That night he was supposed to come home, but he was tired and fell asleep,” she said.
She hopes her husband’s killer will be punished as severely as possible. “Ya Allah, punish the perpetrator as severely as possible. We, the family, hope for justice for the deceased,” she pleaded.
