Wife Remembers Final Meal Shared with Ride-Hailing Driver Before His Murder in Tangerang

The wife of a ride-hailing driver murdered in Tangerang, Banten, has shared poignant memories of their final moments together. Popi, the wife of 40-year-old Agus Tedjo Prabowo, posted a video on her TikTok account showing her husband gently feeding her a meal. She also shared other photographs and videos, expressing her deep longing for a man she described as a devoted family man. “This was the last time my beloved husband fed me. He was a loving husband and father, gentle, and never angry,” Popi said on Friday (17/7/2026). The couple were seated on the floor in their family room, facing each other, as he slowly fed her. Touched by the post, many social media users offered prayers and condolences to the family. Popi also shared a screenshot of a chat where her husband sent her money earned from his work as a ride-hailing driver. She said her husband was always kind, even to strangers, and she feels a profound sense of loss. “He was caring and attentive to family, friends, and even people he didn’t know,” she said. On the day of the incident, her husband had been forced to sleep at a ride-hailing driver post in the Kosambi area due to exhaustion, intending to rest before returning home. Popi received news of his death from a fellow driver. “He was supposed to come home that night, but he was probably so tired he fell asleep,” she said. She expressed hope that the perpetrator would receive the maximum possible punishment, noting she had known and been guided by her husband for 19 years. Police have arrested Rahmat Dimas as a suspect in the murder and motorcycle theft. He is charged with premeditated murder and violent theft under the new Criminal Code. Authorities revealed the incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday (12/7) at a ride-hailing driver post in Dadap, Kosambi. The suspect attempted to steal the victim’s motorcycle keys while he was sleeping. When the victim awoke and caught him, the suspect stabbed him in the neck before fleeing with the motorcycle and mobile phone.
