Wife of Yayat Sudrajat Fails to Attend KPK Summons Regarding Alleged Corruption in Bekasi Regency
Rista Mardiana, the wife of National Police member Yayat Sudcaat, failed to attend a summons by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) regarding alleged corruption in Bekasi Regency.
Rista was originally scheduled to be examined as a witness on Monday (28/09/2026). However, the KPK has yet to receive confirmation regarding her absence.
“Investigators have not yet received confirmation regarding the individual’s absence. The next summons will be rescheduled,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo.
Budi explained that the witness was intended to be questioned regarding the placement of assets, including houses that had previously been searched by investigators.
“Naturally, investigators will continue to trace whether there are other assets suspected to be related to this case,” he clarified.
Furthermore, the examination is being conducted to synchronise testimonies from previous witnesses, including those from the Bekasi Regency Government, the private sector, and other parties.
“Examinations have been carried out regarding procurement projects within the Bekasi Regency Government,” he added.
It was previously reported that the KPK is continuing its deep dive into procurement projects within the Bekasi Regency Government environment. Several witnesses have been called to provide statements to investigate the roles of individuals suspected of involvement.
Additionally, investigators are tracing the procurement mechanisms in Bekasi Regency to determine if there was any manipulation to ensure certain parties won contracts.
“How the process and mechanism functioned, whether there was conditioning to favour specific private entities, and whether fees were subsequently provided to certain parties,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo, as quoted on Sunday (27/09/2026).
In this procurement case, the KPK is also focusing on a specific figure, a police officer named Yayat Sudrajat, due to allegations of illicit fund flows directed towards him.
Budi revealed that the witnesses being examined are also intended to clarify the role played by Yayat.
“Including what his role and connection were with Mr YYS,” he stated.
To date, the KPK has interrogated Yayat and conducted searches at two of his residences located in Cibubur and Depop.
The searches were carried out to find evidence of Yayat’s involvement. The KPK suspects fund flows originating from Sarjan, a businessman and private party who is a suspect in a project-rigging case involving the inactive Regent of Bekasi, Ade Kuswara Kunang.
The investigation into Yayat’s assets is also a primary focus for the KPK, as the police officer reportedly owns dozens of luxury houses spread across Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Karawang, and other regions.
“The individual possesses a number of luxury assets, numbering in the dozens, spread across several locations, including Jakarta, Bekasi, Cibubur, Depok, Bogor, Sukabumi, Karawang, and other areas,” Budi said on Monday (21/09/2026).
