Wife gashes amorous husband

PALU, Central Sulawesi: Twenty-nine-year-old Yn allegedly attacked her husband, Al, with a machete in a jealous rage after he rejected her demands for a divorce.

She had demanded the separation after Al allegedly disclosed he was having an affair.

Yn gashed her husband's head with the machete on Friday and then promptly ran to the police station to admit her crime.

Al, 32, was reportedly in a serious condition and was being treated at a local hospital.

According to Yn's confession, the fact her husband was having an affair with a prostitute caused her the most pain.

"After having two kids he wants to marry a prostitute," Boalan police sub-precinct chief Lt. Moh. Yusuf quoted Yn as saying. (prb)
