Widening War: Israeli Tanks Move Close to the Border of This Arab State
An Israeli tank maneuvered in Lebanon as fighting again intensified along the Lebanon–Israel border, after the Iran-aligned group Hezbollah joined the war against Israel and the United States. Since Monday, 2 March, the border region has seen a sharp escalation after Hezbollah Lebanon fired drones and missiles at Israel. Since then, the group allied with Iran has launched further rockets, and Israel has conducted air strikes across Lebanon and sent forces to the south. Earlier, fires broke out after an Israeli strike on solar-power fields and power-generation facilities in the southern coastal city of Tyre on 4 March 2026.
