Why Were Dude Harlino and Alyssa Questioned in the PT Dana Syariah Indonesia Case?

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The celebrity couple Dude Harlino and Alyssa Soebandono were questioned by the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) in connection with the alleged fraud and embezzlement case regarding the distribution of funding by PT Dana Syariah Indonesia (PT DSI). Both held the status of witnesses and underwent examination for approximately five hours on Thursday (2/4/2026). So, what did the investigators delve into during the questioning of Dude and Alyssa? Investigators from the Directorate of Special Economic Crimes (Dittipideksus) of Polri examined Dude and Alyssa regarding their status as brand ambassadors (BA) for PT DSI. “The questions revolved around their job descriptions at PT DSI as brand ambassadors,” stated their legal representative, Muhamad Alyudi Harahap, after the examination on Thursday. “Their work was professional and proportionate. Both had no involvement in the company’s internal management. Their presence was also to assist the investigators in the law enforcement process related to the PT DSI case,” he explained. The work contract between Dude and Alyssa as BAs was renewed annually by PT DSI according to existing needs. “Mas Dude acted as a brand ambassador for PT DSI, and that relationship is clearly regulated in the contract. The contract was made annually and renewed every year. That’s the extent of it,” said Alyudi. Dude emphasised that the investigators’ questions only centred on their work as BAs. “The questions related to our job descriptions as brand ambassadors. The investigators wanted to know in depth what our duties were,” said Dude. The Head of the Investigation Team of Dittipideksus, Brigjen Susatyo Purnomo Condro, stated that they also delved into the amount of remuneration received by Dude and Alyssa as BAs. This delving was conducted when investigators reviewed several documents seized from PT DSI. “Including remuneration and other matters as objects of examination, as well as how they understood DSI’s business plan to be conveyed to the public at large. That is important for us to know from the statements of both witnesses,” said Susatyo.
