Why Toll Rate Discounts Apply Before Peak Migration Flow and Return
Jakarta — PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk has again announced a 30 percent toll rate discount for users during the 2026 Lebaran migration period.
It is important to note that the toll rate discount applies only for four days, divided between two days before the predicted peak exodus and two days before the predicted return flow.
For those wondering why the toll rate discount during Lebaran is applied in phases rather than during peak migration or return periods, the answer is to maintain smooth traffic distribution.
“The provision of toll rate discounts during the 2026 Lebaran period is expected to encourage road users to travel earlier so that traffic distribution can be better maintained and evenly distributed,” said Rivan in an official statement on Wednesday (11 March 2026).
Furthermore, Rivan explained that the company predicts the peak exodus will occur on 18 March 2026, whilst the peak return flow is estimated to occur on 24 March 2026.
The 30 percent toll rate discount will apply to nine toll segments managed by the Jasa Marga Group. The implementation schedule is as follows:
Exodus period: 15–16 March 2026 (H-6 to H-5 Lebaran)
Return period: 26–27 March 2026 (H+5 to H+6 Lebaran)
The discount will be applied to strategic toll segments including:
Trans-Java: Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, MBZ Elevated Road, Palimanan-Kanci Toll Road, Batang-Semarang Toll Road, and Semarang Section ABC Toll Road.
Bandung-Cisumdawu region: Cikampek-Purwakarta-Padalarang Toll Road (Cipularang) and Padalarang-Cileunyi Toll Road (Padaleunyi).
