Why Muse Model Shared Hoax of Being Mugged: To Glorify Viral Mugging Incidents

AJD was approached by police after reports that he had been mugged circulated on social media. The interrogation results confirmed that the report that AJDV was mugged was a hoax.
Budi Hermanto explained that the Directorate of PPA and PPO together with Satres PPA PPO West Jakarta and Kebun Jeruk Police Sector, accompanied by UPT P3A and Psychology, including the Metro Jaya Police’s Medical Examiner, proactively approached AJDV and conducted an interrogation on Wednesday (20/5).
‘We emphasise that the person in question is not a victim of mugging or any other criminal act,’ he added.
Furthermore, Hermanto urged the public to be prudent in social media. He urged residents not to disseminate news that misleads and could cause public unrest.
‘Metro Jaya Police has already provided psychological counselling to the person and we conclude, based on the in-depth investigation, that the person is not a victim of any criminal event,’ he said.
Hospital confirms no AJDV patient
Earlier, circulating was news that a muse model with initials AJDV had become a mugging victim in the Kebon Jeruk area of West Jakarta. A representative of RS Sumber Waras spoke about the news.
In the social media narrative, the victim underwent treatment at Sumber Waras Hospital. The police then checked there.
Tri Nurmansyah, a management representative of RS Sumber Waras, explained that, based on the investigation, no patient data mentioning the name as circulating on social media was found.
‘Based on our tracing to date, the patient named in the reports is not in the patient data currently being treated or who has been treated at Rumah Sakit Sumber Waras,’ he said.
