Why lash out only at Inul?
Why lash out only at Inul?
From Warta Kota
Gyrating your hips the way a drill does, the movement
introduced by the increasingly popular singer Inul Daratista has
invited a lot of criticism from community organizations,
including the Media Watch and Consumer Center, the Community
Against Pornography, and the Alliance Against Pornography and
Porn-Action Communities.
They have all expressed their deep concern that Inul's highly
erotic style of hip-dancing would be morally harmful to both the
old and the young generations.
It is strange that such a criticism has been lashed out at
Inul, who has only recently enjoyed the commercial fruit of her
hard work in the entertainment business. In fact, eroticism
abounds in our TV programs day and night, and this has yet to be
criticized with the same vengeance. In Indian films, for example,
the actresses perform erotic dances.
If those protesting against Inul's style of entertainment are
honest, fair and willing to listen to their own conscience, they
have to admit that many other artists appear publicly in ways
that can easily arouse one's sexual desire.
