Why equate Karlina with a thief?
Why equate Karlina with a thief?
From Neraca
Mrs. Karlina Leksono has been found guilty for protesting
about milk prices on Jl. Thamrin.
The court session took 12 hours!
We know that Karlina had no agenda to her protest besides
inviting other individuals to join her and her friends in
expressing concern at the increase in the price of milk.
Why was she treated like an ordinary thief? Is it necessary to
treat a person who complains about the burden that she has to
bear as though she were a common thief?
In my opinion, Karlina gave voice to the feelings of the
majority of mothers. Without milk, it is impossible for babies to
grow healthily.
We should respond to Karlina's protest with positive action.
The price of milk has not fallen in price, as other staple foods
have. Must we keep quiet in this situation?
May the sacrifice made by Mrs. Karlina Leksono and her friends
not be in vain.
