Why Does Jusuf Kalla Intend to Report Rismon Sianipar?

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The 10th and 12th Vice President, Jusuf Kalla (JK), intends to report digital forensic researcher Rismon Sianipar in connection with a case of alleged defamation of character and slander. Through his legal representative, Abdul Haji Talauho, he visited the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) on Monday (6/3/2026) at 10:00 WIB. During that opportunity, he explained that there are several other parties that JK wishes to report. “So, in addition to the defamation and slander charges, there are also hoaxes or false news spread by several account channels and YouTubers,” said Abdul at Bareskrim Polri, Jakarta. According to Abdul, these statements were made by Rismon after he proposed restorative justice (RJ) for the case of accusations of a fake diploma created by Jokowi at Polda Metro Jaya. “One of them mentions that behind the movement questioning Mr Jokowi’s diploma, there is an elite official,” said Abdul. “And there, he mentioned that Mr JK gave or handed over money to, if not mistaken, Roy and his associates amounting to Rp 5 billion, and he witnessed it. That’s why we are making this report today,” he added. In addition, Abdul assessed that Rismon’s statements were reinforced by several contents on social media, including from YouTube channels. He mentioned one of them as the programme “Ruang Konsensus” from the YouTube channel Zulfan Lindan Unpacking Indonesia, owned by Budhius M. Piliang, which featured Mardiansyah Semar, Chairman of Rampai Nusantara. “Yes, there is a sentence that accuses Mr JK of being a loser, so to speak, thus his movement is directed towards the unconstitutional. This is hoax news, false news that needs to be tested. That’s one,” he added. Abdul also mentioned the YouTube channels “Musik Ciamis” and “Mosato TV”, owned by Lorensius Irjan Buu, which also spread statements allegedly originating from Rismon. One of the contents even has a title linking JK to alleged provocation up to treason. “There is a very fatal sentence according to us because there is a statement, ‘Indication of hypocrisy, praises Prabowo but wants to commit treason’. This is a question of what, it’s already clear-cut,” he explained.
