I have read in the mass media that Jamaah Islamiyah (JI) is a terrorist organization that has twisted and manipulated the noble teachings of Islam. It is a tightly closed and secret organization that wishes to establish an Islamic state that covers not only Indonesia but also Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines and Brunei.

I have also read that JI members consider everyone else, including the members of their own family, as their enemies that must be crushed if these people do not share their belief.

It is strange that there are still people like this who resort to violence to reach their goals while a lot of other people are making concerted efforts to bring peace.

Therefore, I, along with other sane-minded Indonesian citizens, fully support our security apparatus in taking firm measures against JI members.
