Whoosh Passengers Who Miss Their Train Can Apply for Rescheduling
PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia Cina (KCIC) is providing a rescheduling facility for Whoosh passengers who miss their train. “This policy is presented to provide a sense of security and comfort for passengers, especially in facing unexpected travel situations,” said KCIC General Manager for Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa, in a written statement on Saturday, 28 March 2026.
The rescheduling facility can be done online and offline for free for travel on the same date. The process of applying for a schedule change directly can be done at the station counter a maximum of 15 minutes after the departure schedule. Therefore, Eva advised passengers to head to the counter immediately if they experience delays.
The rescheduling service can also be done online through the Whoosh application. Schedule changes can be made a maximum of five minutes before departure time, specifically for passengers who purchased tickets through the Whoosh application.
However, Eva reminded the public to arrive earlier at the station, namely at least 30 minutes before the departure schedule. This is to ensure the boarding process runs smoothly because the train doors will close five minutes before departure.
Eva reminded passengers to pay attention to the departure schedule and plan their journey carefully before heading to the station. In addition, passengers can also anticipate potential traffic congestion to the station. “Especially during the Lebaran holiday period marked by high public mobility,” said Eva.
Based on preliminary data up to 28 March 2026, the total tickets sold have reached around 280,000 tickets for the Lebaran travel period from 13 to 30 March 2026.
The tickets sold for departures on 28 March 2026 are recorded at 13,000 tickets and are predicted to continue to increase along with ongoing sales until the last departure.
