Whoosh Passengers to Enjoy Dining Car Services Starting Tomorrow
KAI Services is introducing a dining car service on the Whoosh high-speed train starting Thursday (4/6/2026). With the arrival of this dining car, passengers will be able to enjoy culinary menus similar to those available on long-distance trains (KAJJ).
The dining car service on the Whoosh high-speed rail is designed to act as a dynamic social hub. The menu offered in the dining car consists of ready-to-eat products, fresh meals, and beverages that can be enjoyed within the short travel duration between Jakarta and Bandung.
Passenger options include dishes such as cuank enak, chicken curry rice, and Taliwang chicken rice. Various snacks suitable for quick consumption during the short trip are also available, including grilled sausages, pulled bread, and bolen pastry, which can also be purchased as souvenirs. For beverages, passengers can choose from warm options such as premium tea, hot chocolate, ginger tea, and cappuccino, as well as cold options including matcha, choco mint, americano, and cold brew.
Lies Permana Lestari, Director of Consumer Business at KAI Services, stated that the food and beverages served on the Whoosh high-speed train are of high quality. “KAI Services will begin managing the Whoosh Dining Car on Thursday, 4 June 2026, serving high-quality food and beverages with a wide variety of types that are suitable to be enjoyed during short journeys while remaining delicious,” she said.
Lies further noted that KAI Services continues to provide the best service to passengers, including through their experienced dining bar attendants.
“This time, KAI Services is present on the Whoosh high-speed train through the dining car service. In this dining car, passengers will be served by experienced dining bar attendants to provide the best service for those wishing to enjoy meals that can be consumed in a short period,” said Lies.
The introduction of KAI Services’ products in the Whoosh dining car also serves as a solution for commuters who travel frequently between Bandung and Jakarta and may not have time to purchase food beforehand.
“They can now enjoy several signature food and beverage menus, also available on long-distance train dining cars, within the Whoosh dining car while enjoying an unforgettable journey,” Lies added.
