Whoosh Padalarang Station Flooded with Passengers at Peak of Long Holiday
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, West Bandung – The Whoosh Padalarang Station in West Bandung Regency, West Java, was flooded with passengers during the peak of the long holiday on Monday (1/6/2026). Travellers were returning to Jakarta via the Whoosh High-Speed Train after enjoying the long break in the Greater Bandung area.
“Yes, today at Whoosh Padalarang Station, we are seeing an increase in the number of passengers heading to Jakarta. The number of tickets sold as of 3 PM today has reached 90 percent. The number of passengers is predicted to reach 22,000,” said the Manager of Corporate Communication at KCIC, Emir Monti, when met at Padalarang Whoosh Station on Tuesday (2/6/2026).
He explained that the number of Whoosh passengers departing for Jakarta at the end of this long holiday was higher than on the previous day. He added that passengers were not only from domestic origins but also included a significant number of international tourists.
“Compared to yesterday, there are more people today, with the number of passengers reaching 19,000. For today, looking at the queues in the waiting room, it is much larger and more crowded; as mentioned, we predict 22,000 passengers,” Emir revealed.
