Whoosh Offers Rp8,800 Tickets for Independence Day Long Weekend

PT KCIC is running a promotional discount programme for tickets on the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Train (KCJB) Whoosh. The programme is being held to celebrate the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia on 17 August 2026.

“KCIC is presenting a variety of Whoosh ticket promotional programmes to provide more affordable travel options for the public. The available promotions range from Whoosh tickets priced at only Rp8,800 to discounts of up to Rp200,000,” said KCIC General Manager Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa in an official statement.

“These various promotional programmes are being offered to provide added value for people who will be travelling on Whoosh during the long holiday period,” she added.

There are two mechanisms for enjoying the ticket discounts. First, the Whoosh ticket promotion starting from Rp8,800: Whoosh tickets for the Jakarta-Karawang route or vice versa start from Rp8,800, while Whoosh tickets for the Jakarta-Bandung route or vice versa start from Rp88,000. The promotion period runs from 7 to 17 August 2026, with flash sales every day from 16.00 to 18.00 WIB. The departure period is any time, and the offer applies to purchases made through tiket.com, with limited promotional quotas.

Second, the Whoosh ticket discount promotion of up to Rp200,000 via Traveloka uses the coupon code 88WHOOSHSERU. The promotion period runs from 3 to 23 August 2026, with the departure period any time. The maximum discount is Rp150,000 with a minimum transaction of Rp350,000, or Rp180,000 for purchases of at least two passengers with a minimum transaction of Rp300,000. A maximum discount of Rp200,000 applies to return or round-trip ticket purchases. Flash sales are also available every Thursday and Friday at 11.00 WIB during the promotion period, offering a 15% discount up to a maximum of Rp88,000 with a minimum transaction of Rp350,000. The offer applies to purchases made through Traveloka, with limited promotional quotas and subject to applicable terms and conditions.

“The long holiday period is usually used by the public to travel, whether for tourism, visiting family, or carrying out various other activities. Through these various promotional options, the public can enjoy travelling on Whoosh more affordably while remaining fast, comfortable, and efficient,” said Eva.

At the same time, Eva reminded the public to always purchase tickets through Whoosh’s official sales channels and to pay attention to the promotion period, quota, and terms and conditions applicable to each programme.

“People planning to travel during the 81st Independence Day long holiday are also advised to book early, especially for favourite departure schedules that are likely to fill up more quickly during the holiday period,” she said.
