Whoosh High-Speed Train Luggage Rules: Maximum 3 kg
Did you know that the Whoosh high-speed train applies luggage rules that travellers must pay attention to? Each Whoosh passenger is permitted to bring a maximum of three kilograms of luggage, such as two suitcases or boxes and one backpack or hand bag. The total weight of a Whoosh passenger’s luggage is a maximum of 20 kilograms with maximum dimensions of 100 centimetres x 40 centimetres x 30 centimetres. Other prohibited items are those with a strong odour that can disturb the comfort of other passengers inside the train. In addition, KCIC provides porter services at Halim station to help passengers carry their belongings. This service is especially for passengers bringing a large amount of luggage so that the boarding process remains orderly and does not disrupt the flow of movement in the station area. KCIC Corporate Secretary General Manager Eva Chairunisa, in an official statement on Saturday (2/5/2026), added that passengers are urged to store their luggage in the provided spaces inside the train, such as on overhead racks or storage areas at the connections between carriages according to size. “KCIC reminds passengers to follow the applicable carry-on rules for the smooth running of the journey and to maintain comfort for all passengers,” said Eva. KCIC recorded a Whoosh passenger volume of 21,900 people, with departure tickets from Halim Station from morning to afternoon sold out. “Today’s passenger volume is still high, dominated by trips from Jakarta to Bandung,” said Eva. Eva urged the public to plan their trips well and book Whoosh tickets early, considering that during long holiday periods, tickets for popular times tend to sell out faster. As for today, Saturday (2/5/2026), Whoosh tickets sold have reached 10,000 and are predicted to reach around 22,000 passengers by the end of the day.
