Chairman of the Gerakan Rakyat Indonesia Bersatu (GRIB) Jaya, Hercules Rosario Marshal, claims he was once offered hundreds of billions of rupiah by someone not to support Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 presidential election.

“In the 2024 presidential election just past, let the world know, let you all know, I was approached by someone from one of the political parties, offering me hundreds of billions of rupiah to join one of the political parties,” said Hercules at the 15th anniversary of GRIB Jaya at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, on Sunday (10/5).

So who was the person who offered the hundreds of billions of rupiah?

Hercules did not mention the person’s name in detail. He stated that the incident occurred during the 2024 presidential election.

However, Hercules mentioned that the person was a two-star general. Hercules did not specify the institution of the general. Hercules emphasised that the person asked him to join the political party.

“The one who came was a two-star general. He offered money so that Hercules should not support President Prabowo. He offered hundreds of billions of rupiah at my house,” he added.

However, Hercules rejected the offer.

“I said, sorry, sir general, even if I’m like this, my price is fixed for President Prabowo. He must become president. So, I look for money, but money should not control me,” said Hercules.

“If money can control, then it would feel like becoming a traitor. I apologise. This money is extraordinary, hundreds of billions, I would immediately become rich. But, money does not influence me because of my commitment, my identity, my blood flows red and white like President Prabowo’s face,” he stressed.

Hercules added that GRIB Jaya, as a fighter organisation, ultimately succeeded in bringing Prabowo to the State Palace as the eighth President of the Republic of Indonesia.
