The House of Representatives (DPR RI) Commission III is conducting a fit and proper test regarding the candidate for National Police Chief to replace General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. “This morning, the DPR leadership received a letter from the President dated 30 September regarding the proposal for dismissal from office and appointment to the position of National Police Chief,” stated the Chairman of Commission III DPR RI, Habiburokhman, in the meeting room at the DPR Building, Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (1/10/2026).

Police Commissioner Suyudi Ario Seto is a high-ranking police officer currently serving as the Head of the National Narcotics Board (BNN) RI. Suyudi was inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto on 25 August 2025, replacing Police Commissioner Marthinus Hukom. Subsequently, his rank was promoted from Inspector General to Police Commissioner in September 2025.
