Nurkholisoh Ibnu Aman has officially joined the government following her inauguration as Deputy Minister of Finance by President Prabowo Subianto on Thursday (1/10/2026). She was inaugurated alongside Luky Alfirman, pursuant to Presidential Decree Number 104P of 2026.

This appointment brings an economist and researcher with experience in the private sector, academia, and the central bank to the Ministry of Finance. Prior to her inauguration, Nurkholimoh had returned to Bank Indonesia to serve as a Senior Researcher.

Nurkholisoh Ibnu Aman began her higher education at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), studying Industrial Engineering from 1997 to 2002. After completing her studies at ITB, she continued her education at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden, where she pursued a Master’s programme and earned a Master of Science between 2002 and 2004.

Her educational journey continued during her career at Bank Indonesia. From 2010 to 2012, she undertook a Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme focusing on Finance and Economics at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Not stopping at a Master’s degree, Nurkholisoh later pursued doctoral studies at the University of Edinburgh Business School, completing her PhD in Finance between 2020 and 2025.

Before joining the central bank, Nurkholisoh began her professional career in the private sector, working as a Senior Associate at Ernst & Young (EY) from 2004 to 2005. Following this, she joined Bank Indonesia in 2006, serving as a Senior Economist until 2019.

Her nearly 13-year tenure as an economist at Bank Indonesia involved extensive involvement in economic studies and research. During this period, she also pursued her MBA in the United States. After completing her doctoral studies at the University of Edinburgh Business School, Nurkholisoh rejoined Bank Indonesia in November 2024 as a Senior Researcher. This was the position she held before being brought into the government and entrusted with the role of Deputy Minister of Finance.
