The Minister of State Secretariat, Prasetyo Hadi, announced that President Prabowo Subianto appointed Agustina Arumsari as the new Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) on Tuesday evening. This appointment is intended to bolster governance, particularly regarding financial oversight and accountability in the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Programme.

Agustina previously served as the Deputy Head of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), working alongside the Head of BPKP, Muhammad Yusuf Ateh. Her appointment in February 2025 made history, as it was the first time since the BPKP’s establishment in 1983 that the agency held a deputy head position.

An alumna of the State Accounting College (STAN), Agustina also holds a Master of Laws from the University of Indonesia. She possesses numerous professional certifications in auditing, investigation, and risk management, including Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Forensic Auditor (CFrA), and Chartered Accountant (CA).

A career bureaucrat within the BPKP, she has held several strategic roles, including Director of SOE and BUMD Investigation and Deputy Head of BPKP for Investigation. Her expertise in investigating state financial losses was notably demonstrated during the high-profile tin mining corruption case in 2024.

With her extensive experience in auditing and risk management, Agustina is viewed as a central figure in strengthening government internal oversight and safeguarding national priority programmes. Minister Prasetyo Hadi noted that the new BGN official is authorised to commence duties immediately following the announcement.
