When will these conflicts end?
When will these conflicts end?
From Rakyat Merdeka
I am writing to tell the world how worried I am about the
poor, uncertain condition of my country Indonesia at the moment.
Indonesia feels ashamed of having done so little work to overcome
its current serious crises. Who is to blame for this condition?
Meanwhile, the growing number of slanders among the political
elite could result in societal conflict as we have never seen
before. And that could, in turn, lead to national disintegration.
When will these conflicts end? They will, hopefully, after
justice, honesty and truth have spread across Indonesia,
protecting and educating children of the nation to conduct their
right to defend the country. This means being wise, prudent and
just, promoting democratic discourse. This doesn't mean
collusion, corruption and nepotism (KKN) but a truth and justice
that does not crave money (see Roesland Abdulgani's remarks in
Rakyat Merdeka, March 21, 2001), does not fight over food, is not
skilled in seductively tricking people and allowing them to fall
into despair.
