JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Trading activities on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) will be halted for several days in line with the extended national holidays and collective leave for Eid 2026. The closure follows the official government calendar, including the celebration of Eid al-Fitr this year, which falls on the weekend. For investors, certainty regarding the exchange’s operational schedule is crucial for devising transaction strategies, particularly in anticipating potential market movements after the long holiday period. The holidays will continue on 20 March 2026 as collective leave for Eid, followed by the Eid al-Fitr period on 21-22 March 2026, which falls on the weekend. Subsequently, collective leave will still be in effect on 23 and 24 March 2026. During this period, there will be no stock trading activities, including transactions or settlements. Following this extended holiday, stock trading on the BEI will reopen on Wednesday, 25 March 2026. The BEI trading hours upon resumption will be the first session from 09:00 to 12:00 WIB and the second session from 13:30 to 15:49 WIB for Monday to Thursday. Meanwhile, on Fridays, the first session will run from 09:00 to 11:30 WIB and the second session from 14:00 to 15:49 WIB. With a total holiday period from 18 to 24 March 2026, the stock market will experience a fairly long pause before reopening on Wednesday this week.
