When Will the Lepas E4 Launch in Indonesia?
Lepas Indonesia has signaled a strong intention to expand its product lineup in the country. Following the introduction of the L8, the Lepas E4 is confirmed to launch soon for the Indonesian market. ‘Lepas E4 very coming soon,’ said Temmy Wiradjaja, Vice Country Director of Lepas Indonesia, on Saturday (24 May 2026). This statement confirms the E4 will be the second Lepas model sold in Indonesia. Previously unveiled globally at the 2026 Indonesia International Motor Show, the vehicle attracted attention with its futuristic design and modern electrification approach. The E4’s arrival reflects Chery Group’s aggressive strategy to expand electric vehicle markets in Indonesia through various sub-brands targeting different segments. Its design combines futuristic elements with clean body lines, including slim headlights, aerodynamic curves, and a sporty crossover SUV proportion. Inside, the E4 is expected to feature a minimalist modern cabin with large digital displays, smart connectivity, and features targeting young urban consumers and modern families. As Lepas’ latest electrified vehicle, the E4 is predicted to include Chery Group’s latest technologies such as ADAS, intelligent connectivity systems, and battery efficiency, key focuses for modern electric vehicles. Although official specifications for the Indonesian market have not been announced, globally the E4 is positioned as an electric SUV prioritising a balance of design, comfort, technology, and daily efficiency. The model’s introduction will expand Chery Group’s electric vehicle options in Indonesia. Previously focused on conventional SUVs, hybrids, and PHEVs through various brands, the Lepas E4 is projected to target the urban EV market with a more premium and lifestyle-oriented design. Lepas’ entry also shows the brand aims to offer more than just automotive products, providing a personalised and modern mobility experience, aligning with its developing showroom and service approach in Indonesia. If launched soon, the E4 will increase competition in Indonesia’s compact electric SUV segment, currently dominated by various Chinese brands.
