When Will Red and White Village Cooperatives Managers Start Their Duties? Government Provides Update

The government has stated that it is still preparing the operational procedures and the draft Presidential Regulation (raperpres) regarding the management of the Red and White Village/Sub-district Cooperatives (KDKMP). The placement of cooperative managers is also still being prepared.

According to records, participants of the Indonesia Development Driver Undergraduate (SPPI) programme completed their training on 31 July 202<0xC2>6. However, to date, those who have returned to their respective locations have not yet received information regarding when they will begin their duties as KDKMP managers.

The Deputy Coordinating Minister for Food, Hanif Faisol Nurofiq, stated that the management structure of the KDKMP is being drafted in detail to ensure the cooperative’s implementation runs smoothly.

“This has been constructed very detailedly, including the procedures and the draft Presidential Regulation being prepared, regarding how the management of KDKMP is carried out in the best possible manner,” Hanif said when met in Jakarta on Thursday (3/9/2026).

He added that the government needs to ensure that all KDKMP implementations have adequate procedures before the next stages are carried out. “Therefore, everything must remain based on sufficiently good procedures. This is being well-prepared,” said Hanif.

When asked about the timing for the issuance of the Presidential Regulation concerning KDKMP operations, Hanif noted that the government is currently continuing discussions to finalise it. “Hopefully soon, as meetings are already underway,” Hanif said.
