When Will BYD M6 DM Start Delivering to Customers?

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Customers who have already ordered the BYD M6 DM likely won’t have to wait long to receive their vehicles, as BYD has confirmed that distribution of the new plug-in hybrid MPV has commenced to dealer networks.

Luther Panjaitan, Head of Public & Government Relations at PT BYD Motor Indonesia, stated the company has prepared distribution strategies to expedite deliveries. ‘We aim for swift delivery as the product is already ready for distribution from our facilities,’ he said in Jakarta on 26 May 2026.

According to Luther, out of approximately 90 BYD showrooms operating in Indonesia, each is targeted to have at least three vehicles: one for test drives, one for display, and another for market penetration activities. ‘Currently, nearly 90 per cent of our showrooms across the archipelago have received the vehicles,’ he added.

With distribution now reaching most dealer networks, the prospect of delivering units to customers in the near future is increasingly likely.
