When Will 2026 Civil Service School Registration Open? Here's the Latest Information
Information regarding the registration for civil service schools (sekolah kedinasan) in 2026 is highly sought after, especially as the end of June approaches. Civil service schools are higher education institutions managed by government agencies or ministries, mostly operating under an official bond system where graduates are directly appointed as State Civil Apparatus (ASN).
This system ensures that civil service schools never lack applicants, with discussions about registration often trending months in advance. Based on the 2025 intake, the registration schedule is announced directly by the National Civil Service Agency (BKN), which all schools follow for their selection processes.
As of the time of writing, BKN has not yet issued a circular regarding the 2026 student/cadet selection schedule. However, it is estimated that the selection will open in the near future. The official Instagram account of STMKG has indicated that no registration opening information is available yet, urging prospective students to monitor official channels for updates.
Meanwhile, PKN STAN is currently opening a Higher Education New Student Admission Selection (SPMB-PT) specifically for higher education graduates, not high school leavers. The official website of the Statistics Indonesia Polytechnic (STIS) has also not displayed any announcements for the 2026/2027 academic year, still showing last year’s registration details.
The Institute of Home Affairs Governance (IPDN) has not made an announcement on its social media, but the official website of the Regional Human Resources Development and Personnel Agency of Bangka Belitung Province has published selection guidelines. These are contained in the Decree of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 800.1.2.2-920 of 2026 concerning Guidelines for the Selection of Prospective IPDN Cadets for 2026, detailing applicant requirements and the selection system.
Considering these latest developments, it is predicted that the 2026 Civil Service School registration will open shortly. Information can only be verified through the official channels of the respective schools and BKN. Last year, the selection schedule was stipulated in a BKN Head letter, with registration opening in late June and closing in mid-July. The stages included administrative selection, Basic Competency Selection (SKD), and advanced selection using a Computer Assisted Test (CAT).
The predicted schedule for 2026 is as follows: Registration from late June to mid-July 2026; administrative selection from late June to late July 2026; PNBP billing code payment from late July to early August 2026; SKD schedule announcement in early August 2026; SKD implementation from mid to late August 2026; PNBP payment for advanced CAT selection in early September 2026; advanced CAT selection schedule announcement in mid-September 2026; advanced CAT selection implementation in mid-September 2026; and final graduation announcement from mid to late September 2026.
