“Sir, there’s a train, Sir,”

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Residents along the railway tracks in the Senen area, Central Jakarta, briefly asked President Prabowo Subianto to step away from the tracks because a train was about to pass by.

As shown in a video uploaded to President Prabowo’s Instagram account (@prabowo), the moment occurred when the Head of State visited the settlements around those railway tracks on Thursday afternoon.

Initially, President Prabowo was walking near the railway tracks while being surrounded by residents who wanted to take photos and shake hands with him.

At the same time, a train was passing on one track, while another train was approaching from the opposite direction. The residents then reminded the President to quickly step away from the tracks.

“Sir, there’s a train, Sir,” the residents shouted.

Prabowo, accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, along with the crowding residents, then hurriedly stepped away from the railway tracks.

During the inspection, President Prabowo toured the densely populated residential area built along the tracks.

The Head of State was seen interacting with the residents, listening to various complaints, and greeting the people at the location.

The inspected residential area is not far from central Jakarta and is inhabited by residents in densely packed living conditions. The President also stopped several times to chat with the residents he met along the tracks.

Prabowo appeared at ease patting the shoulders of residents who shook his hand; at another moment, several residents took the opportunity to ask for holiday allowances (THR).

“Sir, THR, Sir,” said several residents amid laughter.

On that occasion, the President absorbed the community’s aspirations regarding the need for more decent housing.

Prabowo then stated that he would build better housing for the residents in the area quickly.

“Having heard the aspirations of the people there, God willing, we will soon build decent housing for the people in that area quickly. And it has become my determination to provide decent housing for the Indonesian people,” Prabowo said.
