JAKARTA - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto toured a residents’ settlement located along the railway tracks in the Senen area, Central Jakarta, on Thursday afternoon (26/3/2026).

Prabowo conducted a blusukan to residents’ homes on the fringes of the railway tracks, wearing a dark blue shirt and a dark brown cap.

“On this afternoon, I toured the settlement along the railway tracks in the Senen area, Central Jakarta. It is located about 3 km from the centre of Jakarta,” Prabowo stated in an Instagram post @prabowo on Thursday night.

Prabowo was also enthusiastically welcomed by local residents who invited him to take photos and shake hands.

Faintly heard was Prabowo asking if the residents wanted houses to be built for them.

“Yes, sir, yes, sir,” the residents shouted.

One of the residents admitted to being surprised by Prabowo’s arrival. “This is the first time in our lives that our President has come here,” said another.

Throughout the tour of the settlement area around the railway tracks, Prabowo shook hands one by one with the residents who crowded around him.

Through his post, Prabowo promised to build decent housing for the local residents.

“Listening to the aspirations of the community there, Insyaallah we will soon build decent housing for the community in that area quickly, and it has become my determination to provide decent housing for the Indonesian people,” Prabowo wrote.
