When Prabowo Orders Wakasad to Sing in Front of Miangas Residents

An interesting moment occurred when President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto visited residents in Miangas, Talaud, North Sulawesi, on Saturday (9/5/2026). During the meeting, Prabowo pointed to the Chief of the Air Force (Kasau) Tonny Harjono and Deputy Chief of the Army Staff Muhammad Saleh Mustafa to sing together with the residents of Miangas. “Have you ever seen a four-star general sing? Mr Tonny (Kasau), accompanied by a three-star army general, come on, sing for the people,” said Prabowo in front of the gathered residents at SMK 2 Talaud, Miangas. “That’s right,” replied all the residents. Deputy Chief of the Army Staff Muhammad Saleh Mustafa then asked all the residents about the song Nyiur Melambai. “Do you know Nyiur Melambai?” asked Saleh. “We know,” replied the residents. Not only that, the cabinet ministers also joined the line to sing the song. Then the generals sang the song titled Sio Mama together with the residents. Not only that, the generals invited the residents to sing the national song titled Indonesia Pusaka.
