When Prabowo and the Minister of Public Works Inspect Temporary Housing in Aceh Tamiang
President Prabowo Subianto, together with the Minister of Public Works of the Republic of Indonesia, Dody Hanggodo, inspected temporary housing (Huntara) in Simpang Empat Village, Aceh Tamiang. The residents welcomed them with joy and warmth.
During the inspection, Prabowo and Dody, along with officials, viewed and entered two Huntara units in Aceh Tamiang. The visit was warmly received by the residents.
Huntara resident Nurita expressed her emotion over the arrival of Prabowo and the Minister of Public Works to perform Eid prayers at Masjid Darussalam in Aceh Tamiang. She said her prayers had been answered.
“We are deeply moved by Pak Prabowo’s visit; my family and I are delighted. We had dreamed of his coming, wondering when I might shake his hand. It turns out Allah has heard our prayers,” she said on Saturday (21/3/2026).
Nurita said Prabowo came to the housing she had long awaited, accompanied by the Minister of Public Works and officials. She also mentioned that the eighth President greeted and shook hands with her family.
“Pak Prabowo came to see the Huntara housing, and my family and I shook hands with him. Pak Prabowo also shook hands with my children,” said Nurita.
Furthermore, Nurita stated that the quality of the Huntara provided by the government is good and comfortable.
“The quality of the Huntara provided by the government is good and comfortable,” she said.
Meanwhile, Prabowo Subianto praised the disaster recovery in the Aceh Tamiang region. He said the disaster response in the area was very swift.
“The repairs and recovery are very fast. Alhamdulillah, it’s nearly 100 percent,” he said.
Prabowo thanked all the personnel working on the Sumatra disaster recovery. He noted that the improvements are now being felt by the residents.
“I am very proud; thank you to all the personnel, all the apparatus from TNI-Polri, BNPB, Public Works, local government, and all ministries and agencies that have done an extraordinary job. They have worked extraordinarily,” he said.
Meanwhile, Dody also extended Eid al-Fitr greetings to the residents of Aceh Tamiang. After that, he conveyed warm Eid greetings to the community.
“Happy Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah to all Muslim residents in Indonesia. Especially to the congregation at Masjid Darussalam and the people of Aceh Tamiang,” he concluded.
