When is the Isbat Hearing for the Determination of Eid al-Fitr 2026? Check the Schedule!
The Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) will hold an isbat hearing for the determination of Eid al-Fitr 2026 in the third week of this month. The isbat hearing to determine 1 Syawal 1447 AH will take place at the H.M. Rasjidi Auditorium, Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Jakarta.
According to the Kemenag website, the following is the schedule for the isbat hearing to determine Eid al-Fitr 2026:

The isbat hearing will involve various parties, including astronomy experts from the Indonesian Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG), the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), planetariums, observatories, representatives of Islamic civil society organisations, and other relevant agencies.
The public is urged to await the official government announcement after the entire hearing process is completed. The official schedule for Eid al-Fitr 2026 will be announced after the isbat hearing concludes.
The isbat hearing will commence with a seminar on the hilal position, followed by verification of hilal sighting reports from various regions, then the isbat hearing itself and the official announcement of the determination of 1 Syawal 1447 AH by the Minister of Religious Affairs.
