The school holidays are divided into two types: general holidays and semester breaks. According to the Decree of the Head of the Education Office of the Special Region of Jakarta (DKI Jakarta) Number 113 of 2026, general holidays commemorate national events as determined by the Joint Ministerial Decree of 3 Ministers. Meanwhile, semester breaks are end-of-semester holidays established based on the academic calendar.

Second Semester School Break 2026 in Yogyakarta
In Yogyakarta, the second-semester school break of 2026 is set through the Guidelines for Preparing the Academic Calendar in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) for the 2025/2026 academic year, published by the DIY Education, Youth, and Sports Office. These guidelines regulate important dates related to student assessments, the distribution of report cards, and school holidays for elementary/special elementary, junior high/special junior high, high school/special high school, and vocational schools.
Based on these guidelines, the date for the distribution of report cards for all levels will be held on June 26, 2026. After that, students at all levels will begin their second-semester school break from June 29 to July 10, 2026, and will return to school on July 13, 2026.

Second Semester School Break 2026 in Central Java
The academic calendar for schools in the Province of Central Java is set through the Decree of the Head of the Education and Culture Office of the Province of Central Java Number 400.3.1/07209. This regulation applies to elementary, junior high, high school, and vocational school levels.
Unlike the academic calendar in several other provinces, the academic calendar for Central Java sets different dates for the submission of report cards for schools that have 5 days and 6 days of classes. However, the schedule for the end-of-year break is the same for both, namely from June 22 to July 11, 2026. After that, students will return to school on July 13, 2026.

The academic calendar for the Province of DKI Jakarta is set through the Decree of the Head of the Education Office of the Province of DKI Jakarta Number 113 of 2026. This academic calendar applies to the levels of Early Childhood Education, Special Early Childhood Education, Elementary/Special Elementary, Junior High/Special Junior High, High School/Special High School, and Vocational School.
Based on this academic calendar, the distribution of report cards will be held simultaneously on June 26, 2026. After that, students will begin their second-semester break from June 27 to July 11, 2026.
