When Does the Eid Al-Fitr 2026 Holiday Begin? Check the Dates!
The 2026 Eid Al-Fitr holiday begins next week. There are several national holidays and collective leave days associated with the Eid Al-Fitr 2026 commemoration.
Based on the Joint Decree of 3 Ministers regarding National Holidays and Collective Leave 2026, the Eid Al-Fitr 2026 holiday officially begins with collective leave on Friday, 20 March 2026. However, due to the Nyepi holiday occurring a few days earlier, the Eid Al-Fitr 2026 holiday can begin as early as Wednesday, 18 March 2026, which coincides with the collective leave for Nyepi, the Balinese New Year (Saka 1948).

Does Collective Leave Reduce Annual Leave Entitlement?
The following regulations apply to the implementation of collective leave for workers and civil servants.
The implementation of collective leave reduces the annual leave entitlement of employees and workers in accordance with applicable legal regulations and provisions that apply to each workplace, organisation, institution, or company.
Collective leave does not reduce the annual leave entitlement of state civil apparatus employees.
