When Blind Therapists Relieve Aches for Eid Travellers at Kampung Rambutan Terminal

JAKARTA - The National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) of DKI Jakarta Province is providing free massage services by blind therapists at Kampung Rambutan Terminal during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming season in 2026. Based on observations at the location on Wednesday (18/3/2026), there are three therapists on standby to serve the public wishing to utilise the free massage. The location is in front of the Terminal Kampung Rambutan Service Post. “Last year I also participated, and this time the service runs until H+1 Eid. From yesterday, many people have been aching from lifting heavy items,” said Anang when met at Kampung Rambutan Terminal on Wednesday (18/3/2026). Anang explained that every day there are three therapists providing free massage services to the public at the terminal. He stated that each therapist serves an average of 8 to 10 people per day. The service is utilised not only by homecoming travellers but also by terminal workers such as porters and nearby vendors. “Here there are shifts; the first shift is from 09:00 to 14:00. The second shift is from 14:00 to 19:00 in the evening, and on average each therapist serves 8-10 people,” he clarified. She came because she felt body aches after travelling and lifting items. “Alhamdulillah, it feels effective. Hopefully, the aches will disappear after the massage, because initially I just did it on a whim when I saw it,” explained Lina. She hopes that the free massage programme and health check services for homecoming travellers can be held every year. “This is very beneficial, not just the massage but also the health checks; if possible, it should be held routinely,” she said.
