Wheat stocks enough for RI
Wheat stocks enough for RI
SYDNEY (Reuters): Australia still had plenty of wheat
available to sell to Indonesia even though the latest crop was
sold out for non-regular buyers, Tim Dewan, the Australian Wheat
Board's (AWB) Southeast Asian regional manager, told Reuters.
"There's certainly wheat available for Indonesia (as a regular
customer), there's plenty of wheat there for them to carry them
through," he said.
Indonesia's currency devaluation had understandably pushed the
country into winding-down its wheat stocks after the rupiah
collapse, which began last year, he said.
