WhatsApp is enhancing application interface for Android users

WhatsApp is reportedly preparing a new design to revamp its application interface for Android users.

This design specifically focuses on the bottom navigation bar, which appears set to look more modern than the current version. According to reports from WABetaInfo, the new design will introduce a floating bar with rounded corners to provide a fresher interface look.

The appearance is similar to the tab bar currently available on WhatsApp for iOS, though the design may continue to evolve during development. Specifically, WhatsApp is testing an updated bottom navigation bar for both light and dark themes for Android users.

WhatsApp is refining this navigation system to ensure the application interface remains consistent with modern design standards. It is highly likely that WhatsApp is introducing this new design in response to user feedback requesting an updated interface.

WhatsApp may roll this out to select users in upcoming beta updates. However, the company has not yet announced when the new bottom navigation bar will be available to the general public.
