What Prospective Hajj Pilgrims with Comorbidities Need to Prepare
The Head of the Hajj Centre at the Ministry of Health, Liliek Marhaendro Susilo, suggests that prospective Hajj pilgrims with comorbidities prepare themselves before heading to the Holy Land. He stated that prospective pilgrims should accustom themselves to light exercise such as leisurely walking or light jogging for at least 30 minutes every morning to keep their bodies fit and prevent shock when engaging in numerous worship activities. Liliek also reminds prospective Hajj pilgrims with accompanying illnesses to routinely take their medication as advised by their doctor. βFor those who have been instructed to consume medication regularly, take it according to the determined schedule,β said Liliek on Thursday (9/4/2026). He added that to avoid forgetting to take medication, they can activate reminders on their respective mobile phones or through companions to remind them when the medication time arrives.
