What Jakarta's governor must do

Whoever is elected governor of Jakarta for the 2002-2007
period should improve the social, economic, security and
educational conditions of this capital city. They must also, as
former Jakarta governor Ali Sadikin said in an interview with
Tempo magazine in its June 24-30 edition, revive youth centers.
During the 1970s, every municipality had a youth center.

Youth centers are important places where young people can get
together and engage in various art, sports activities.

The new governor must also ensure that Student Center Sumantri
Brojonegoro in Kuningan resume its activities.

Last, but not least, the new governor must ensure that each
district in Jakarta has a public hall, where arts and sports
activities can be held. These halls can also be used by locals
for their own parties.

Anybody can be the governor of Jakarta, but they must take
sides with the majority of Jakartans.
