What is the Salary for the 2026 National Internship Programme Batch 2? Check the Rules!
The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) will open registration for the 2026 National Internship Programme participants in mid-July. Successful participants will receive several benefits, including a stipend, certificates, and professional mentorship.
According to the official Ministry of Manpower website, the government is providing a quota of 150,000 participants this year, an increase from the previous 100,000. This expansion is based on the positive results of the first batch of the National Internship Programme in supporting labour absorption.
“This is certainly good news for our young people who have recently graduated from university. This increase in quota is a form of the government’s commitment to expanding job opportunities while strengthening the transition of university graduates into the workforce,” said Minister of Manpower Yassierli during the launch of the 2026 National Internship Programme Batch 2 in Jakarta on Monday (29/06/2026).
The 150,000 quota is planned to be allocated across three batches. The first batch registration will open on 15 July 2026. The selection process will take place from 29 July to 5 August 2026, with the internship officially commencing on 11 August 2026.
How much is the stipend for the 2026 National Internship Programme participants?
As of this writing, there are no new specific regulations regarding the stipend for the Ministry of Manpower’s National Internship Programme. As a reference, one may refer to the rates applicable in the previous year.
The stipend for the first batch of the National Internship Programme was regulated through Minister of Manpower Regulation (Permenaker) Number 8 of 202_5 concerning Guidelines for Providing Government Assistance for the University Graduate Internship Programme. This regulation was subsequently amended by Permenaker Number 11 of 2025.
Under these regulations, internship participants are entitled to receive a salary or allowance. This stipend is paid monthly throughout the six-month internship period. According to Article 11, paragraph (3) of Permenaker Number 8 of 2025, the amount is determined by the Minister.
“Government assistance for the Internship Programme in the form of an allowance, as referred to in paragraph (1), is provided in the form of money, the amount of which is determined by the Minister.”
Referring to reports, Minister Yassierli stated that the stipend for the 2026 National Internship Programme Batch 2 will be equal to the applicable minimum wage in the respective regency or city. However, specifically for Jakarta, the stipend will be based on the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP).
“The allowance is the same, amounting to the minimum wage of each internship location. Whether it is the minimum wage of a city, regency, or province. Specifically for Jakarta, it is the provincial minimum wage; for others, it is the city or regency minimum wage,” he stated at the Ministry of Manpower office in Jakarta on Tuesday (26/05/2026).
List of Minimum Wages for Regencies/Cities in DIY (Special Region of Yogyakarta):
As explained by Minister Yassierli, the stipend is based on the Minimum Wage of the Regency/City (UMK) of the workplace. For regencies/cities in DIY, the rates are stipulated in the Governor of DIY Decree Number 443 of 2025, namely:
Yogyakarta City: Rp 2,827,593
Sleman Regency: Rp 2,624,387
Bantul Regency: Rp 2,509,001
Kulon Progo Regency: Rp 2,504,520
Gunungkidul Regency: Rp 2,468,378

How to Register for the 2026 National Internship Programme:
Broadly speaking, registration is divided into two stages. First, create an account on the Kemnaker SIAP Kerja portal. Second, apply for the desired internship programme.
Steps to Create a SIAP Kerja Kemnaker Account:
Visit the official Ministry of Manpower website at https://www.kemnaker.go.id/.
Click ‘Login’ at the top right of the screen.
On the login page, select the ‘Register Now’ option.
Complete the required registration data, including your National Identity Number (NIK) from your ID card (KTP), full name, and mother’s maiden name.
Ensure all data is correct, then click ‘Next’.
An account activation page will appear.
Enter the One-Time Password (OTP) sent via SMS to your registered mobile number, then click ‘Confirm’.
If the OTP does not appear, you may request a resend by clicking ‘Resend’.
Once activation is successful, the SIAP Kerja account is ready for use.
How to Apply for the National Internship Programme:
Complete your profile in the SIAP Kerja account, including experience, reference letters, training, biography, and educational history.
Once complete, access Magang Hub via https://maganghub.kemnaker.go.id.
Log in using your existing SIAP Kerja account.
Select a programme that matches your interests and major.
Submit your application.
