What is so special about Ginandjar?

From Rakyat Merdeka

Former minister of mines and energy Ginandjar Kartasasmita won
his case in court. Yet there must have been some loopholes that
they made use of or otherwise they resorted to acts of trickery.
It is not a public secret any more that he was one of the
spearheads of the Soeharto regime. Several other graduates from
the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) also lived in
prosperity while Ginandjar was in power.

I was wondering: What the hell is it that makes the former
army top brass stay too long in office? Is he playing for time?
As far I know, an army officer retires at the age of 55 years. He
is now already 60, why the hell is he still there? Is this
another set of maneuvers to protect the Soeharto family?

The Jakarta Police chief, a major general, is about to retire
soon. Subagyo HS, too, retired at 55. Is it another example of
cronyism and nepotism? The Attorney General must proceed! This is
not for President Abdurrahman Wahid, but for the public's sake.
The army must give clarification of his delayed retirement to the
public. What is so special about Ginandjar?.

If the authority is incapable of proving that the Soeharto
regime is corrupt, than it is simply stupid. Leave the matter to
the people! They have made detailed records of the big shots
during the Soeharto regime, among others those who managed to
escape and are now on the political stage.
