WFH for DKI Provincial Civil Servants Confirmed Not on Wednesdays
Jakarta (ANTARA) - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung stated that the work-from-home (WFH) policy for Civil Servants (ASN) within the DKI Provincial Government (Pemprov) will certainly not be on Wednesdays.
“Regarding the day, of course not Wednesday. Why not Wednesday? Because Wednesday is public transportation day,” said Pramono in Jakarta on Monday.
According to him, in principle, the DKI Provincial Government is ready to follow instructions from the central government regarding the WFH policy for ASN as an effort to save energy amid rising global oil prices.
He said that once the regulation is decided, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is ready to implement it, but it is confirmed not to be on Wednesday.
“In principle, as I said, the DKI Jakarta government will follow the directives and regulations that will be officially issued by the Central Government,” he stated.
As is known, the government has confirmed that the work-from-home (WFH) policy will begin to be implemented after Eid as an effort to save energy amid rising global oil prices.
Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto stated that the policy applies to Civil Servants (ASN) and is also encouraged for the private sector.
“(The regulation) WFH will be detailed. But after Eid, we will implement it. For ASN as well as encouragement for the private sector, but not for those working in public services,” said Airlangga when met after Eid al-Fitr prayers in Jakarta on Saturday (21/3).
He also emphasised that the WFH policy will only apply for one day per week.
Furthermore, Airlangga added that the government will also coordinate with the Ministry of Manpower and the Ministry of Home Affairs to ensure the implementation of the policy runs effectively.
