WFH for Civil Servants Every Friday Claimed to Reduce Congestion, Pramono: Drastic Drop

JAKARTA – Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung claims that the work from home (WFH) policy for civil servants (ASN) every Friday has reduced congestion in the capital. The claim was made after the Jakarta Provincial Government implemented the policy over the last two weeks, namely on Friday, 10 April 2026 and Friday, 17 April 2026. According to him, the reduction in traffic density is not only influenced by ASN in the Jakarta Provincial Government environment, but also because similar policies are being implemented by central government agencies. “In Jakarta, because the mechanism is already running, we are implementing work from home every Friday. And every Friday it’s not only Jakarta ASN, but central ASN also follow,” said Pramono. ASN are asked to continue working from home and not misuse the policy, for example by working from cafes or other places outside the home.
