WFH and Adjustments to Official Vehicle Use as Bangka Belitung's Steps Towards Energy Efficiency
Work From Home (WFH) and adjustments to the use of official vehicles (randis) represent the efforts of the Bangka Belitung Islands Provincial Government (Babel) to save energy.
Acting Regional Secretary of Babel, Fery Apriyanto, admitted that he will make adjustments to the use of operational service vehicles as part of energy efficiency measures.
This policy, according to him, aligns with the implementation of work from home (WFH) for civil servants (ASN) that has begun to be enforced by the central government.
He mentioned that these efficiency steps will be regulated through a special mechanism involving several regional apparatus.
“Our General Bureau will later regulate the adjustment of official vehicle use,” said Fery on Thursday (2/4).
“One of them will be the General Bureau to regulate energy efficiency and others,” said Fery Apriyanto on Thursday (2/4/2026).
For this reason, the provincial government will issue two circular letters as guidelines for ASN in working. “Later there will be two circular letters that we will issue, the first WFH by BKPSDMD and the second from the General Bureau,” he said.
He added that for this budget saving, it is not only WFH and adjustment of official vehicle use, there will be others later.
Meanwhile, the Head of the General Bureau of the Bangka Belitung Provincial Government, Ali Thariq Batavian, confirmed that there will be adjustments to the use of official vehicles.
He said he could not yet provide details regarding the official operational vehicle budget issue.
“I forgot, if the total, because we are one secretariat. Around Rp 1 billion, that’s not even reached, for official car operations for a year,” he said.
The implementation of WFH is part of efficiency. Especially efforts to save the use of fuel oil (BBM).
